On Thursday, May 28, 2015 a groundbreaking ceremony will be held at West Haven Public School to mark the construction of the much anticipated school.

- Location: 325 West Haven Drive, Leduc, Alberta
- Driving Directions: From 50 avenue going west, turn left onto West Haven Boulevard. At stop sign, turn right (west) onto West Haven Drive. Follow West Haven Drive, then turn left (east) onto West Haven Drive. The school site will be on the right (south). Parking is available along West Haven Drive.
West Haven Public School is Black Gold Regional Division No. 18’s (BGRD) newest K – 9 school that will educate and inspire success in students for generations to come. The school is expected to open September 2016 with an opening student capacity of 500, and a future capacity of 700.
This event is open to the public and the ceremony will include remarks by BGRD and community partners.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will convene at Leduc Estates School (95 Alton Drive, Leduc, AB T9E 5K4).
